Public Involvement

The public is a vital part of the process, and the Town highly encourages you to speak out on issues facing the Town. The Guide to Town Council Meetings has been prepared to help take some of the mystery out of the public process.

Council Priorities

On June 24, 2025, the Truckee Town Council adopted the existing priorities forward with wording modifications for purposes of consistency to the priority item related to infrastructure, communication, and emergency preparedness. In addition to the approval of the 2025 to 2027 Council Priorities, and the two-year work plan, Council approved the reaffirmation of the 2025 Legislative Platform (PDF). The Town of Truckee Legislative Platform reflects the Town Council's position on current issues with the potential to directly or indirectly impact the Town, thereby establishing guidelines to actively affect pending legislation through monitoring and communications activities.
