Interest in Running for Office?

There are differences between running for Truckee Town Council versus one of Truckee's Special District offices. Most significantly, you must be nominated for Town Council. A minimum of twenty signatures is required on your petition. In contrast, you need only apply to run for an office on one of our Special District Boards. All candidates running for office in Eastern Nevada County can make an appointment to file for office, or simply get additional information. Nomination periods open in mid July preceding the November Election.

To run for Town Council, please fill out the Candidate Filing Interest Form.  Once completed and your voter's status has been verified, you will be contacted by the Town Clerk with next steps.
