ADA Eligibility & Information

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that complementary paratransit service be available to persons who, because of a disability, cannot use the fixed route bus system.

The Town of Truckee contracts with Paratransit Services to provide the TART Dial-a-Ride service. This service is a specialized transportation service for persons who cannot independently use fixed-route bus services due to a disability or health-related condition some or all of the time. TART Dial-a-Ride is available for use by the general public for a fare, but an ADA-certified person who requests their ride by 5 p.m. the day in advance will receive priority scheduling over persons with no ADA eligibility.

For more information on how to reserve a ride, please call 530-550-7541.
